Q: What’s the typical cost of a class/workshop?

There’s no standard but typically classes range from $45 pp to $65 pp depending on either the materials and/or length of time involved. Cost includes all supplies and refreshments for ‘Sip-N-Make’ events.

Q: Is there a savings to book multiple classes at once?

Yes! We’re now offering ‘Class Packs’ that let you purchase either 3 or 6 lessons/workshops at a discounted rate that can be applied to attend any future classes of your choosing. Great for groups and gifts. They can be adding them to your cart:

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

We book everything in advance online using a PayPal gateway. You don’t have to have a PayPal account to checkout, just a credit or debit card.

Q: What if I want a private lesson but don’t see any on the calendar?

Private lessons are created specifically around your schedule which is why you won’t see them on our calendar. We’re currently offering private sessions for individuals or small groups on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (excluding times where classes are already scheduled on those days). Q: How / when do I get my finished ceramics piece after my workshop ends?

Your piece will be ready within a week from your workshop. A day or two after your class/workshop ends, your work will be bisqued fired in our kiln, glazed with a milky white transparent glaze, and finally glaze fired. You’ll then be contacted via email to notify you your piece is ready for pickup here at The Treasury. *Shipping can be arranged (for those from out of town) at an additional cost.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy if I can’t attend a class/workshop I’ve purchased?

If you are unable to attend and it is at least 72 hours prior to the workshop, please contact us with the request and we will refund 100% of your payment or provide credit towards a future workshop. If it is within 72 hours before the workshop, unfortunately we cannot issue a refund or credit for the class fee- no exceptions (as materials and labor have been committed by this time).

Q: What’s the minimum number of people you need for a workshop/event to run?

That depends. Guest instructors set their minimums for their own classes. Our public ‘Sip and Make’ or ‘Sip and Throw’ event need at least two attendees to run because we think it’s more fun when you get to be social and meet new people. If by chance you register and are the only one, we’ll work with your schedule to re-book you on a day that has others attending or happily refund your payment.

Q: I’m an artist/teacher, how can I teach my classes at The Treasury?

We love meeting and partnering with new artists and teachers. Contact us with your class idea and we’ll send you a contract to review. Once the details are settled, we’ll add your class to our calendar and co-market it with you to ensure a great turnout! We do a 70 (you)/30 (us) revenue split and we’ll provide refershements at no extra charge. Can’t beat that!

Q: I saw some really nice work you made…do you sell your pieces?

Thanks and yes. Our goal is to put our effort into teach others but we love it when someone wants to buy our work. We’re in the process of creating an online store for custom pieces and prints. Until then, if you see something you like when you’re here at the studio just ask and we’ll give you specific prices.

Q: What’s your privacy policy with information I provide when I book a class?

Great question. We’re very sensitive to the information we share with others and respect your privacy as well. We never share any information with anyone else…the only exception being a guest instructor as they may need to communicate with their class attendees. We also send out a concise and relevant quarterly e-newsletter with updates and upcoming events. You have the right to opt out anytime but we hope that 4 interesting emails a year isn’t too much 😉
