The Treasury was a collaboration 10 years in the making between duo Amy and Eric Sargeant. They met in Portland OR when Amy asked Eric to present to her class at the Art Institute. Since then, they’ve continued to grow their own skills and education experience teaching college-level courses at local institutions as well as independent workshops.

About Eric:

Eric is a professional landscape and urban designer by day and an illustrator / urban sketcher by night. He’s taught workshops both digital and hand drawing workshops and full courses at several local universities, including Cal Poly Pomona and USC. He’s passionate about the environment and ways to better understand, design and activate public space.

About Amy:

Amy studied ceramics in undergrad at Oregon College of Arts & Crafts and received her MFA from Central Saint Martins in London. Since then she’s been teaching university-level art classes – most recently at Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University down the street from The Treasury.  After over 12 years of teaching college students, Amy’s looking forward to working in a more intimate setting and using art to build community here in Southern CA.
